CHINA LINKS FOR GOVERNMENT

China Links provides highly pertinent instruction to participants from all levels of government, from those responsible for economic development at the municipal level to directors, policy analysts, diplomats, and advisors in the federal government.  Furthermore, China Links offers a curriculum and educational approach that guide participants with various degrees of China experience, including those new to China to China hands who desire to strengthen their existing expertise.

In China Links workshops, participants from government interact with those from the private sector, working through problem sets and sharing perspectives and insights along the way.

We have trained participants from Transport Canada, DFAIT, EDC, Natural Resources Canada, among others, on how to engage more effectively with China in their day-to-day professions.  China Links is Canada’s leading professional development program that prepares public-sector professionals for their activities with China.

Public-sector professionals gain the following from China Links:

  • An understanding of the cross-cultural factors of engagement and diplomacy in China
  • More solid decision-making capacities in fast-changing environments such as China
  • The ability to respond more effectively to problems and crisis situations
  • An understanding of the importance of key stakeholders in China
