A Concluded Canada-China FIPA and Its Implications for Canadian Businesses

Recently, Federal Trade Minister Ed Fast stated that negotiations of the Canada-China Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement would likely be concluded in 2012. This article examines what a concluded FIPA will mean for Canadian businesses, and queries whether the agreement will actually increase bilateral investment between the two countries.
