Built from the successful Summer Institute China Program at the University of British Columbia, China Links is unique in North America for its intensive training and its curriculum that covers the operational, problem-solving, and decision-making challenges that exist in China today. The program was developed with the encouragement of government and business leaders across Canada who expressed a need for intensive training on practical problem-solving for professionals, executives and, officials working in or with China.
China Links covers an extensive range of topics in relation to China that matter to industry and government. It also provides participants with the opportunity to gain practical knowledge for engagement in the Chinese business environment. China Links programs offer a mixture of expert instruction and simulation and role-playing exercises that are based on real-life scenarios and situations commonly encountered in China. Participants leave China Links with a firm understanding of important Chinese policy and regulatory issues, the cultural factors of doing business in China, and the decision-making approaches that create successful outcomes. China Links instructors include internationally renowned scholars, practitioners, and business leaders all with a wealth of China experience.
Our primary objective is to provide a forum for linking our knowledge network with the operational and strategic objectives of the private and public sectors across North America in their engagement with China. We seek to make North American industry and government more informed and better equipped to confront the challenges and opportunities they will invariably face.
